3 Primary Causes Why Peole Fail To Lose Weight

by Kaye Medalla

There are a lot of reasons behind the "silent" disease called obesity. But most people who suffer from this "hidden" disease would only refer to food as the primary culprit. They should realize that there are a lot more predisposing factors that causes obesity.

Of all the reasons that we fail to lose weight, why blame food? Food per se is not the problem. In reality, there are more important factors why we over indulge ourselves even though we know that we should not.

3 Overlooked Culprits Why People Fail To Lose Weight

1. People lack the motivation to lose weight. They gain the extra pounds because of eating more than what they need for energy or they are burning "too few" calories because of a slow metabolism. They know that they need to exercise to burn those calories but they are simply too lazy to do so.

To successfully lose weight, people have to realize that they need to develop a positive attitude towards exercise. I know it is not easy to remove the old habits, especially if we need to put some effort to it, but it's the only way to a successful weight loss.

People need a powerful motivation to help them get up on their butt and sweat it out. Even though they know that benefits that they will get from losing weight, still they are just too lazy to shed off those pounds.

2. Most people have bad eating habits. The tendency for people who find that they are gaining a few pounds is they eat less and less food until they lose the weight they have gained. They do not know that they are just leading themselves to a food binge once the "hunger" and "cravings" sets in.

3. Negative emotions. Emotions like nervousness, guilt and the feeling of failure, just to name a few, probably causes 95% of the reason why people overeat. They are trying to relieve the anxiety that they feel through elemental satisfaction.

People who are trying to lose weight should keep in mind that they can overcome obesity if they can overcome these factors. Choosing the right diet plan plus the will power to lose weight equals weight loss. Just remember the goal, a healthy and a fit life.
