7 Golden Rules In Managing Boys Acne Problems
It is not true that only girls worry about acne problems. Boys care and worry as much as girls do. If you have a teenage boy at home, I'm sure you would agree with me. Boys are also scrambling to deal with both the physical and emotional trauma caused by acne.
Puberty are the times when most boys starts to see acne rear their ugly heads. Usually these are accepted as part of growing up and they are controllable. Healthy and proper diet is the main ingredients to control acne outbreak. Is chocolate and oily foods are the culprit? No one knows for sure.
One habit that is unquestionably important is cleanliness. Always keep your face clean. There are many cleansing products that is available over the counter. Find a mild cleanser that is suitable for all skin types.
Part of the acne problems could be due to the emotional stress and pressures during the early stages of puberty. Find the support groups that your boys could join in and contribute positively to the group.
Here are some helpful outlines for both parents and the boys on how to take care of the acne problems successfully.
1) Parents full support and sympathy are greatly needed by the boys at this time. Help them to deal with their emotional and physical stress wisely.
3) One important rule to remember, keep your fingernails away from your acne all the time. Picking or squeezing your acne may cause infection to the skin and make your problem worse.
3) Please use only electric or safety razor when shaving. Do not use regular razor because you might bleed your skin and cause infections.
4) Be sure to use only mild skin care cleanser. It is a good practice to wash your face at least twice a day with a gentle skin care solutions.
5) Look for the skin care products that are labeled as non-comedogenic. These products do not promote blemishes and prevent clog of the skin pores.
6) For severe cases that is beyond manage, consult skin care specialist for professional advice. Skin care professionals should be able to guide you in managing the problems and suggest the appropriate skin care products.
7) In a worse case scenario you may need the dermatologist to write you a prescriptions. They can give you the best advice since they are the authority in skin care. They are equipped with the latest technology.
Early stages of puberty is a hard time for your boys due to hormonal changes both physically and psychologically. Acne is definitely not a welcome addition to their condition. They need your full moral support and let them know that you are always there for them.
